She is beaten and hurt. She is hungry, hasn’t had food for days. The cold weather has numbed her because she has no house. Her hair is clumped and tangled. You see her, pull over, wrap her in a blanket, and put her in the car.
  • “Mommy, daddy can we keep her?”
    • “If she has no tags and no one comes looking for her we sure can. We will get her all cleaned up, buy her a bed and toys, and take her to the vet in the morning.”

  • “Mommy, daddy what was wrong with that lady?”
    • “She’s a nasty person baby. She does bad things with strangers for money.”
  • “How do you know daddy?”
